Noel W. Young

Noel's Last Picture-
On A Computer with Friend Dan
Noel Wesley Young, He was and is my brother. A little over a year ago my brother e-mailed me from Wisconsin where he had recently moved to, and was living with my aunt and uncle. I was excited and surprised because first of all I hadn't talked to him since he went up there, and secondly I didn't even know he had access to a computer. In the e-mails that followed he asked me about web designing and asked me if I would design him a site. I responded yes. I also had the opportunity to e-mail him some pictures of my, then girlfriend, now wife Brandi. We soon lost track on e-mail since he was using a friends e-mail address and computer. Noel called me a few days later and we talked about computers and web sites and the Internet and also my new girlfriend. We had a great talk and little did I know if would be my last.

A few weeks later I got a call at my girlfriend's house. It was my mom and she was in tears, " Some thing has happened to Noel...", she told me. He was in an accident. No this wasn't a car accident or motorcycle or a vehicle of any kind. It wasn't a natural accident or some sort of medical condition. It wasn't a shooting or anything like that. He was simply playing basketball, a sport he loved very much and played a million times before. Things got intense and the guys played rough. Noel hit his head and was now in the hospital. My sister and I flew to Wisconsin immediately, and a few days later Noel died. He was 19 years old.

One of the nights before he died I was in his room talking to him, even though he was not conscious. I told him that I would keep my promise to create him a web site. This site is for him, for my brother Noel.

I miss him.

This site will be a showcase of pictures and info about his life...I will mostly archive pictures and also peoples memories. All memories will be anonymous unless someone wants otherwise.
