From God's Word . . .
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. - Eph. 4:29-32 (NIV) Mike Allen's brother Roger, Orene Lynn (Gene Ridley's sister-in-law), Gary Wooten (friend of the Ridley's) recovering from surgery, Doris Black's mother is doing badly, Rodney Corbin (a local man with cancer) Crystal Dent's father in the hospital in Galveston, Barabara Nelson in the hospital in Enid, Amy Unsel, Cheryl Kroop's dad in Arizona; Zach Sweeden who may be called up to go over seas in the near future; Guy Lofton (Gena Way's uncle who recently lost his wife of 69 years), Cheryl Findley (friend of Liz Way who is fighting muscle degeneration); Hanna Collier; Dennie DeMoe; Hailey Miller & Jason Bowlen (both of Arkansas and fighting cancer); Lindsey Rogers; Geraldine Yearley; Jennifer Mason; and Fern Thornton. Congratulations go out to the Newcastle High School Racer Band (directed by our own Mike Way) for receiving an EXCELLENT rating at the regional marching band contest in Lawton. Be sure and let our NHCOC youth who are in the band know that you are proud of them: Elizabeth Way, Jessie Way, and Titus West. Jim Sheerer is scheduled to preach for us on Sunday, December 8th. We have started a prayer network where we call each other for special prayer needs that don't need to wait for a regular assembly.
