Jacob falls for
_______________.
Gen. 29:21 through ch. 30- Jacob gets
more than he bargained for
Jacob is tricked
into marrying _______ and ends up working for a total of _____ years for his
two wives.
As Paul Harvey would say… Come back
next week to hear “The Rest of the Story.”
What can we take from Jacob’s story
thus far?
1. In times of despair, God can appear. In
fact, those are the times in our lives where we are most likely to grow in our
faith.
2. We can also see that God performs what
He promises. (We’ve only seen a bit of this so far, but already Jacob has had
many children through his wives.)
3. Lastly, while it is good to have a
family that honors God, your faith has to be your own faith. Jacob had to
discover God for Himself.
